Just got back from Kickboxing, and wow am I tired, I think I need a brew. So todays training was really good. We were working though some combinations for the grading on December 12th. To achieve my Green Belt I've got to...

Sparring - 2 x 1.5 Minute Rounds

Boxing & Elbow Combination
Roll Under Left Hook
Strike - Left Jab, Right Elbow, Left Uppercut, Block Right Low Kick, Right Elbow

Boxing & Knee Combination
Roll Under Right Hook
Strike - Right Straight, Left Hook, Right Straight, Left Knee -Grab- R Hopping Side Knee - Push Away

Boxing & Kick Combination
Parry Left and Right
Strike - Right Straight, 2x Left Body Kick, Right straight Punch.

Full Mixed Combination
Left Cross Block
Strike - Left & Right Straight, Left Hook, Right Elbow, -Grab- Left & Right Knee -Turn Push- (Left or Right) High Kick

Clinchwork Head Push from outside grip
Advanced Techniques Both Sides Back Kick Reverse Elbow
Equipment Demonstration 30 Medicine Ball Sit Ups

Destruction Ability Break A 1 inch thick board with Knee


I'm not sure if I'm ready to do another grading. I mean after the ordeal of the last grading!! Plus I'm a little worried about the sparring section of the grading, because I hate sparring!! Although the techniques look fun. I've practised the first and second combinations, and I've got to say, I love the first combination, I love how it flows, like how you drop after the right kick and strike with the elbow, flows really well.

I just wish I had the money to practise, because I would be there practising like a mad man! Its not like I have anything better to do. I'm really gonna try and practice more often.
